Nina Adair
Horn
Nina Adair has performed with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra since 1997. A native of New York City, Nina chose her career path at an early age. Upon graduating from New York City's High School of Performing Arts, she was accepted to the Juilliard School at age seventeen. Nina earned her Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree of Music Performance at the Juilliard School where she studied with Ranier DeIntinis and James Chambers.
In addition to her work in the Alabama Symphony, Nina has performed with the New York Philharmonic, the New York Pipe and the New York Sinfonia, where she held the position of principal horn for three seasons.
Nina has appeared as a soloist with several orchestras throughout her career, including the Juilliard Contemporary Music Ensemble and the National Music Week Orchestra, performing works by Mozart, Strauss and Messiaen.
Nina resides in Indian Springs Village, Alabama with her husband, Doug, and their four children.
