We conclude the 2006-2007 Wachovia Masterworks season with a crescendo of heroic splendor. Hear Beethoven take a bold new direction in his third symphony which he originally wrote in honor of Napoleon Bonaparte. Witness this piece balanced with the nostalgic Cello Concerto by Edward Elgar and the dynamic color of sound in Weber’s Der Freischütz Overture.
