Lonnie Parsons
Lonnie Parsons, former choral director at Mountain Brook High School, is now a student again pursuing a career in medicine. He is the Wesley Choir director at Bluff Park United Methodist Church. Lonnie is no stranger to the Birmingham stage and has performed in many Birmingham Summerfest Cabaret productions including The All Night Strut!, Sinatra-My Way, Moon River and others with his friends Kristi, Jan, and Carl. He most recently starred in the Little Theatre Players' production of Company as Bobby. He is a regular featured soloist with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and will be performing with them again in December. A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham in music, Lonnie also studied acting at the New Actor's Studio in New York with George Morrison, Paul Sills and Mike Nichols. His regional theatre credits include: Evelyn Oakleigh in Anything Goes and Sipos in She Loves Me at the Papermill Theatre. His musical theatre credits include: Evita (Peron), Jesus Christ Superstar (Pilate), A Little Night Music (Carl Magnus), When Pigs Fly (Howard), Cabaret (Cliff), Closer Than Ever, Putting It Together, Hello Again, OKLAHOMA!, Crazy For You, Man of La Mancha, and Music Man. His commercial credits include ads for Just For Feet, Sony Playstation, and numerous state and regional ads.
